Sample Lesson: Experience Japanese Tradition Through All Five Senses – A Kodo (Incense) Journey
In the demo class for our upcoming “World of Japanese Art” course this fall, participants will explore the elegant tradition of Japanese incense culture. Dating back to the Heian period (794-1185), the art of fragrance has been a cherished aspect of Japanese heritage. During this workshop, you will engage with the scents of various fragrant woods and learn about Kodo, the Way of Fragrance. This session offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the refined beauty of Japan, surrounded by exquisite aromas.
