Course Description

This is an AWS Academy course, created by AWS subject matter experts and delivered by an AWS Academy accredited educator. This intermediate-level course will help students gain technical expertise in development with cloud technologies. Upon completion, students will be able to develop with the AWS SDK and identify best practices for building and deploying applications in the AWS Cloud.

The course also helps students prepare for the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification exam, and students who complete this course are eligible for a 50% discount on exam fees. Participants should complete the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course to get the most out of this course.

This course may be started any time and requires approximately 40 hours of student work. There are no scheduled lectures, and students may work through the material according to their own schedule. However, the instructor is available to answer questions and provide support throughout the course. Coursework must be completed within 3 months.

Instructor Biography

Santosh L. Gawande holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Mumbai (Bombay) University, India, and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate. He is also Sun certified Java Programmer and Architect -1.

Currently he works in the financial sector as an Information Technology professional. During his entire professional career he primarily worked for Engineering, Insurance, E-Commerce and in financial domains developing various products using primarily Java, J2EE, C, C++, VB, Spring, UML, Oracle and other RDBMS along with Open-Source tools on Cloud, Unix, Linux and Windows platforms. His hobbies are researching, playing Chess, listening to music, hiking, sketching and animation.
